Built around a scalable front and rear architecture, the system allows operators to configure the rig according to mission profile, equipment load, and integration needs.

Full Chest Rig Configuration

Front and rear panels combined to create the full chest rig configuration, designed for missions requiring more equipment loads while preserving comfort, weight distribution, and operational mobility.

Placard-Compatible Configuration

The rear panel can interface with all Night Heron placards, and with select third-party placards using the Placard to Chest Rig Adapter Kit (6 buckles and padded interface).

Front-Only Configuration

The rear panel is removed and replaced with shoulder straps, which can attach directly to the front panel or to compatible placards, creating a minimalist front load-bearing platform with no rear bulk.
